Fagor Professional in the FEA New Member Spotlight

Lee Donkin, Commercial Director at Fagor Professional UK, took some time to talk about the how and why Fagor is our newest FEA member.

1. Tell us about how your business got started.
Fagor Professional is a global manufacturer and see huge potential in the UK market. Giuseppe Monti, the European Director has been instrumental in setting up the UK office and warehouse. The business was set-up in December 2021 and the warehouse will be ready in Q2 of 2022. We are exhibiting at HRC in March and have the second largest stand and will be proud to show customers our products, technology platforms and live cooking demos.

2. What do you love most about the foodservice equipment industry?
The industry is fast paced, I love the fact manufacturers are innovative and improve the technology of their products constantly.

3. What is the biggest challenge for your business right now?
Our biggest challenge right now is managing expectations and demand. Since the announcement that Fagor is coming into the UK market demand for our products and services has increased hugely. Trying to manage the demand and expectations will take some work but I am confident will we do this.

4. What are the drawing factors for joining FEA?
There are several factors for joining the FEA, firstly, it is a very well run and respected organisation and it’s the one association most manufacturers want to be part off, the work the team do keeping you up to date with legislations and laws is second to none. Secondly, it improves our brand profile in the UK market. Lastly, it gives us a sense of pride to be part of an association like FEA.
