Gianfranco Dorigo, Export Manager, for Universe Pizza/Forni Dorigo spent some time to answer a few questions from the FEA when they recently joined as a member.

1 - Tell us about how your business got started...
From a small wholesaler of catering equipment, we started to manufacture a gas burner for pizza ovens to substitute the use of wood. Then we added over the years different dimensions of ovens. A few years ago we set up a limited company in the UK to directly serve the UK customers and wholesalers. Our company has the largest number of ovens certified by the Defra organisation and now we can provide all type of ovens from wood, gas, combi and electric versions with fixed and rotating cooking plates. We manufacture all products in the northeast of Italy in the province of Padua, and can build any kind of oven with all types of design.

2 - What is the biggest challenge for your business right now?
We are looking for equipment distributors in different areas of the UK to deliver our products.

3 - What are the drawing factors for joining FEA?
We wanted to be part of an organisation that can help us improve our business. The FEA can help us on the latest technical news, we are so busy running the business that you do not have time to read up on all the regulations.
