Kickstart Scheme: encourage young people to work in the foodservice equipment industry

In recent weeks we had six FEA member companies register their interest in providing placements for 16-24 year olds with the government Kickstart Scheme. For more details about the Kickstart Scheme, please follow this link https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/kickstart-scheme

We are delighted to tell you that the FEA and BHETA will be working together and acting as a responsible organiser and collating applications from several companies to achieve the 30 minimum placement requirement. I can confirm that with the interest from BHETA and FEA members, we have received confirmation of interest to achieve this minimum and can therefore start the application process.

We urge you to consider participating in this scheme as one of the ways to encourage young people to work in the foodservice equipment industry.

Please find below a link to an on-line application form. To assist with the completion of the form there are some explanatory notes attached.

Once FEA and BHETA have received all the completed applications, we will then be able to forward the details via the Kickstart site. We have been advised that applications will then take up to 4 weeks to be considered.

Thanks for your consideration and please contact Jocelyn.carr@fea.org.uk should you have any questions.
