First Choice Group Training centre is reopening its doors for the Electrical Competency Course
On Monday the 1st March, following the Government’s latest announcements, First Choice Group Training centre is reopening its doors for the Electrical Competency Course.
The First Choice Training team are working hard to ensure that they are able to accommodate as many attendees as possible while maintaining enhanced safety standards during the pandemic.
To ensure qualifications are up to date upon returning to work, technicians are allowed to book and attend courses and assessments while furloughed.
“Reopening while ensuring the safety of our team and customers was the number one priority” said Martin Dagnall, Head of the First Choice Training Division. “First Choice has introduced a number of safety and hygiene measures since the start of the pandemic to ensure that the supply of crucial equipment parts could continue in support of the healthcare sector.”
Safety screens, hand sanitiser stations and social distancing signage are just some of the measures that are now regular features at First Choice HQ. Additionally, having ample space in their training centre means that they can ensure social distancing is comfortably maintained during ALL assessments and training sessions.
The Commercial Catering Equipment Electrical Competency Course (CCEECC) was launched in conjunction with CEDA and FEA and provides engineers with the basic electrical competence and knowledge needed to work safely on electrical equipment and components in commercial catering.
Course Duration: 2 Days
Location: First Choice Group Training Centre, Cannock
The two-day course which covers safe isolation, testing and measuring, circuit protection, fundamentals of electricity, circuit layouts and how to perform tasks safely and competently using a range of test equipment. On completing the course and all of its assessments candidates will achieve a City & Guilds accredited certificate.
