What is NextGen?

FEA's NextGen initiative and programme of events aims to empower, support, and inspire the next generation of hospitality professionals providing a voice and influence in shaping the future of the sector.

NextGen's purpose is to build a skilled, motivated, and future-ready workforce by showcasing career opportunities, supporting early-career development, and strengthening engagement between the hospitality industry and education.

NextGen isn't only aimed at school-leavers and graduates it is also open to professionals new to the sector who are keen to understand more about the hospiatlity supply-chain and the interelationships that exist at all stages.

NextGen Media Pack

To enable and enhance everyone’s support and passion for NextGen we have a media pack available that includes:

NextGen Unifrog Video Collaboration

We need your help to create four videos that showcase the brilliant careers available across the sector.

We are specifically looking to feature people that work in the roles of:

  • Field Service Engineers
  • Fitters or Installers
  • Designers (Kitchen or Product)
  • Sales Representatives

The videos will be two to three minutes in length and will be shot as an interview where you or a member of your team will talk directly to the camera. Before we film, we’ll collaborate with you on some scripted elements of the film.

Filming will commence in July so if you are keen to be involved please fill in the form as soon as possible.

Who are Unifrog?

Unifrog is the social enterprise on a mission to level the destinations playing field. We aim to make sure every young person - regardless of background - finds their best next step after school.

The schools and colleges we partner with use Unifrog as the way to manage and deliver their careers guidance.

Unifrog is also a member of the Fair Education Alliance. We operate as a social enterprise - any profits made go directly back into improving the platform for students and reducing the disadvantage gap.

NextGen Career Highlights Survey

We'd love to know more about what motivates the next generation in choosing potential roles and their route to employment in the hospitality sector which is why we have have launched our Career Highlights Survey.

The survey only takes five minutes to complete and will remain open so that we can garner as much knowledge from across the sector as possible. is still open and will remain open and we would encourage you to share it with anyone in your business that may fall into the NextGen mould.

The questions have been drafted from Leadership Team input and are based on key aspects that we'd like to understand to ensure that our messaging resonates.
