Surplus Catering Equipment

The surplus catering equipment team at Ramco disposals have seen a dramatic rise in their foodservice business during the last few months, with a variety of interesting projects.

Their “Cash it don’t scrap it” mantra benefits all concerned. Operators and distributors alike have been seeking to dispose of unwanted assets in an increasingly environmentally responsible way. In addition, they welcome the opportunity to benefit financially as the business manages the collection, recycling and marketing of the equipment. It then shares revenue.

This autumn the company is focussing on projects in hospitality, healthcare and consumer brands, who will benefit from a flexible, compliant and hopefully valuable disposal.

MD Neil Sanderson commented, “We estimate the second-hand catering equipment market to be worth £250m and growing, with new technology, smarter kitchens and CSR as the key drivers.”
