New Member Spotlight on Forest Catering Equipment
Join us in welcoming our last member of 2025! Managing Director Liam Green CFSP is "super happy to be a part of the FEA" and kindly answered a few questions for us.
Tell us about how your business got started.
For years I have been involved in QSR, I was a technician repairing equipment in leading brands for many years, and moved on to both national and global distributors. But I always saw a need for technical detail in the design and supply of QSR kitchens. As I started to work with operational teams in multiple brands across the UK, EU and USA I started to have a deeper understanding of how these brands grew and wanted to take this knowledge and help our growing QSR sector by giving them kitchens that will sustain long term growth but with environmental impact in mind.
What do you love most about the foodservice equipment industry?
Whilst it is a huge industry it feels a personal one. This year I took our finance director, Jade Brunt, to HOST Milano as a bit of a deeper dive into our industry. As a new equipment distributor this could be daunting, but the relationships we have meant we were greeted with excitement, praise and support, which meant the world to us.
What is the biggest challenge for your business right now?
Our digital transformation, behind the scenes we are working hard on how we reduce our paper usage through digital systems including some exciting features to our website that we aren’t quite able to share yet so keep your eyes peeled.
What are the drawing factors for joining FEA?
As mentioned, I was previously an engineer in what feels like a former life. This technical appreciation means I have always looked at the ongoing changes to our industry and that is now starting to be more prevalent with embodied carbon requirements on the horizon. I felt now is the perfect time for me to gain an understanding of what this means for ourselves as distributors and our customers in QSR. I feel that the FEA is a place where that knowledge is accumulated, understood and taught, giving us a great opportunity to learn more and also impart our learnings to our brand partners. It also provides us a place to be included in the discussions that affect our industry. I feel if you want to make real change, the FEA is the place where our voice can be heard to do so.
