Five men, 229 miles and lots of lycra

Last month Malcolm Harling, Derek Maher, Vince Wetherell, Tony Thomas and Phil Coulstock took part in the Springboard three-day Team Velo Cycle challenge from London to Paris on behalf of Team Cesa. Together they raised a staggering £3,620.

Day one saw the team ride 81miles from London to Portsmouth, after an overnight crossing to France, on day two they completed the 68 miles from Ouistreham to Le Neubourg, on day three, the final leg, they completed the 80 miles from Le Neubourg to Paris covering a total of 229 miles.

The Challenge was a huge success and the team’s blood, sweat and tears will be greatly appreciated by all those that benefit from the money raised.
